@Shorty2U keep moving and doing things around the house. That burns calories and is exercise for your body. You are doing great so keep it going.Weight fluctuates a couple of pounds daily for most people so you shouldn't weigh every day.Try to weigh in at the same time such as first thing in the morning if you can.Do you think you could split up your treadmill walks to three five minute sessions a day.It might feel better on your back and would keep your metabolism up.I have friends with bad backs and theirs have gotten stronger with exercise and weight loss.I don't know your condition but your doctor could suggest a good exercise routine for you to get stronger.

I struggle every day and yes it is real. I do weight watchers and that helps, I am not perfect but it helps. They teach us in WW that we will not be perfect at this so if you blow it just get back on and make better choices at your next meal.

I'm not a doctor or dietician, but 6 pounds lost in 10 days seems like way too much weight to lose in such a short amount of time. You posted a week or so ago that you were hardly losing anything. What are you eating each day to have that kind of weight loss?
Just speaking for ME, but if I "drastic diet", the second I eat anything off limits, the weight comes rushing back on.
My weight loss took a LONG time. Like a ridiculously long time. Like epic kind of time. You have to steel yourself for the long haul. I don't know how much weight you want to lose (and it's none of my business so I'm not asking), but you need to calm down here.
It's a life style change you're after and the weight loss will come. You have a bad back and you're really pushing yourself on that treadmill.
You're torturing yourself by saying you have visions of pasta and stuff in your head. I ate pasta during my weight loss. Occasional and just small amounts. I didn't deprive myself of anything because I didn't want to feel deprived because I thought that would derail me.
My husband and I eat out just about all the time- usually lunch every day. It's easy to eat out, but you have to pick the right restaurant and then make the best choice. Before you go out, go online and look at the restaurant's menu so you'll have an idea of what you'd feel comfortable eating there.
I wish you the best of luck with your weight loss. Losing weight is hard and I wish you great success. But you sound from your last two threads that you're almost in a frenzy about it and it really doesn't need to be like that.
@gidgetgh, I agree with your post. @Shorty2U, 6 pounds in 10 days? I work out with DH at the gym about 4 times a week and we eat healthy, with the exception of having what we want for dinner on one weekend night. My average weight loss is usually about 1 to 1.5 pounds a week which would be about 6 lbs. a month. How the heck did you lose 6 lbs. in 10 days?

If someone significantly reduces their carbs and/or sodium intake, it's very possible to lose 6 lbs of water weight in 10 days... and the heavier the person is, the greater the water weight loss.

Hi @conlt I also do weight watchers. I hit my goal weight awhile back, it's harder to maintain then lose but I'm hanging in LOL.
Last two meetings about MOVING MORE are dead on. The more we move the more we lose ![]()
Keep going @Shorty2U you are worth it

I have a friend who went on an extreme diet plan. She had liquid diet meals for 10 months. Her hair started falling out but the person running the plan said take vitamins. She lost 81 lbs. and sadly when real food was allowed she gained it all back. I don't think that's the right way to loose. I'm not saying this is what you are doing but I felt that this particular diet was dangerous.

I forgot to say good luck. I lost weight recently doing an hour of PT every day for my knee replacement. Hang in.

@Shorty2U wrote:Well, I finally lost some weight after struggling the past years.
I am happy to say I lost 6 pounds in 10 days and now it is 2 weeks and I gained 1 back since I had steroid shots in my back (or it could have been when we went out to eat 1 night and I didn't know how to order properly. I believe I over ate).
Got up to 12 minutes on my treadmill, (walking at a regular pace) but now my sciatic nerve bugs me so I must take a break before I knock my back out and end up incapacitated.
I just want to say the struggle is real for those who can eat what they want and not gain a pound you are lucky! lol.
I cannot stand to look on line and see people posting pictures of their food as in gobs of pasta, bread, and or ice cream. lol..
SO I keep busy around the house doing odds and ends and have spent less and less time on line. I am not giving up!
The struggle will continue and I hope I can complete my goal and maintain it!. I have visions of pasta and sandwiches dancing in my head because eating too many carbs was my issue (not junk foods!), in addition to lack of exercise...
I didn't see where anyone asked, and I'm dying to know .... in that 10 day period where you lost 6 pounds .... what were you eating?

@Tinkrbl44, see my post #13 - I asked her how the heck she lost that much in 10 days hoping she would share what she ate. I'd love to know.
