@San Antonio Gal  what Verizon outrage. Where?  I have Verizon but didn't notice

@shoekitty  Besides NYC - Houston, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Phoenix.  2 million customers at minimum. It was all afternoon for us here.

@Bookplate   oh no that's awful.  I depend so much on internet and phone since I became a little disabled, it is heck for me to go without it. I am near Silicon Valley, ca.  I didn't feel disruption. Although, I was at hairdressers, and using a hot spot

Re: Well, We Have A Working Phone

I had a break this afternoon and pulled out my phone and it said only Emergency calls.   I was like WTH?  Then someone told me about the Verizon outage.  That explains why earlier in the day I kept waiting for a site to send me a code and it didn't come and then all of a sudden I got 7 text messages all at once (Including that Code I was waiting for).

@udc   When he insisted my daughter go upstairs and outside to check for a signal...............after she told him we don't get service here, well, I thought she was going to throw a router at him.

We live here, we know what works and what doesn't.  Good grief.

Perhaps he was trying to get a signal for you.

Re: Well, We Have A Working Phone

@Scooby Doo   We are between two hills and there is a cell tower 3 miles away.  We have never, ever gotten a signal.  I got a cell phone back in 2006 and have never been able to use it here at the house.

If he had gotten one he would have worked a miracle.
