The phone guy came early, 10:30am. It was to be between 1 and 5pm.
He was here for 3 hours. He did the outside work first. All we had before was a modum/router (I said I wasn't a tech person). It was only about 3 inches wide and sat on the end table with no problem. Now we have 3 boxes. The new router lays flat and is quite large as are the 2 other boxes. Don't ask, I haqve no idea what they are.
The tech was very nice but had an accent neither of us could figure out. He kept asking if we had cell service. DD told him at least 4 times, no we can;t get cell service here. He had her go upstairs and outisde to try and get it even though she told him we have tried that. She said that is why we need a landline, no service. Yikes.
But, at least if we have an emergency we can call for help.

If you cell phone has wifi you can hook up throrugh your router and use wifi calling

I know what you mean about no cell phone service. I also have a landline. Nobody understands when you tell them you cant get cell phone service. Its enought to make you crazy.

@udc When he insisted my daughter go upstairs and outside to check for a signal...............after she told him we don't get service here, well, I thought she was going to throw a router at him.
We live here, we know what works and what doesn't. Good grief.

Give him the phone and tell him to go upstairs. You just cant make people understand.
