I made a quick run up town to the convenience store. I was telling the clerk I was there for my sub and briefly saw a little kid out of the corner of my eye.

Next thing I know a small hand was runnng across my butt and then giving me a pat. I turned and looked down and an adorable little guy said, "hi".  I said "hi, how are you?" Turns out he was interested in my cane.

He was probably 3 so I didn't tell him there are other ways to get someone's attention.

On the subject of canes aka walking sticks, the Queen has been without hers and also was out riding her horse. I'm wondering if her sudden health problem was Covid related. No matter, I'm just beyond pleased she is doing better. She has anew hairstyle too, shorter for summer.

Kids that age are beautifully innocent.  Sadly they grow up fast and all that changes.  It was a cute moment for OP.
