I just checked, 100 cases in my County of Barnstable which is located in Massachusetts.

It doesn't feel as real until it's nearby.

I had to ask DH to stop giving me the state and county Corona report first thing in the morning. It set the wrong mood for the day.

We are at 82 in our county (25 miles north of Albany, NY). They are not community testing and only test people sick enough to seeks treatment or medical staff...so our number is not very accurate. I only go out to get my allergy shots, pharmacy, grocery store, and to volunteer to provide food insecure students.

I figure if I start not only talking to myself, but answering, I can go for a ride around the block. Block being relative here. In one direction it's 5 miles and 8 in the other. Mostly dirt roads and would maybe pass 1 other vehicle. Social distancing here is no problem.

I'm guessing you live in a small county?

My county is approx 550,000 and we have 67 confirmed cases.

Because you don't have confirmed cases, doesn't mean you don't have any cases.

I'd think closing borders, would be very difficult.

We have 2,746 cases in Louisiana, 548 of them in my parish (county). The number of deaths in my parish - not the state total - doubled from yesterday (12) to today (24). Just awful.

I doubt there are really any counties that don't have any cases. I feel there are just many people walking around not even knowing they have it. Here in my county, we don't have many confirmed cases, but there are most likely more I wish borders could be closed, also. I think it's illegal to do so.
