You sound like both my children.
They always laugh when they visit and see me putting the low fat version in my coffee. They both have to have cream in their coffee. I brought them up with few dairy products but they still love their cream in coffee or tea...and it better be all natural.
Both my children eat the way Michael Pollan states in his book....Eat plants and unprocessed foods.

Sounds good to me!! I love it with herbs.
Besides it's like the Mediterranean diet. Which is very good for us...at least right now.
If you want to really jazz it up...add some TOASTED chopped garlic to the oil and herbs....heaven!

You wanna have heart failure you should read what one has to eat on the Ketogenic diet! Almost 100 percent fat with just enough protein thrown in for life and a teeny tiny amount of carb. You have to drink whip cream with every meal or substitute something with an exact ratio of fat to carb like Macadamia nuts.

I have an olive oil I cook with and one for dipping. Love it with herbs and garlic. I love garlic with anything though.

And use those ketostix and make sure they come up purple? My friend has a son with epilepsy and she had to adhere to that diet for him throughout his entire childhood. He is doing well now and whether it was from the diet, she said she hopes so because it was a rough ride for them....

Yup. Is he still on the diet? My dd was able to get off after four years. It will cure or nearly cure some epilepsies. But it is VERY difficult and yes you have to have those keto sticks turn dark. DD's were often black. THe school nurse about had a heart attack! It's hard for people to understand that ketones in the urine are good in this case!
The ketones are from ingesting the high concentrations of fat and almost no carb.

He is doing fairly well but I know she said that he has been on a lot of different medications over the years and he still needs to eat the ketogenic diet in order to stay seizure free. I know when they visited I always made sure that I strictly adhered to giving him food on the diet. My son had to eat relatively carb free because he has another health issue where it helps him, so they had each other to console...
My best wishes for your daughter's continued good health.
