Since I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, I decided to go to a good naturopathic doctor who is also a dietician and an MD. She taught me that eating to live is very relevant. She taught me to eat real food that doesn't have processed ingredients and to eat prepared foods with simple, very few ingredients, that I could pronounce. No fake sugars and no simple carbs. I pretty much prepare all my own food and eat only non-GMO foods as well as organic, free range meat. My health is actually better now than it was when I was first diagnosed. So I can understand the OPs post.
