A few wks. ago ,i received a box that had a speaker in it,did not order it was a scam.

Some stores are NOT buying (no pun intended) the customers story that they got a used item or something else.


A lady bought a $500 electronics item only to find a used older model in the box.

The store wouldn’t give her money back! They checked camera footage and everything.


Someone must have bought the item NEW, returned it with the old item inside and customer service never checked and it went back on the shelf for resale.

Also try and buy with a credit card instead of cash or debit.


This way You can protest the charge.

I got one of "these" delivered by A.    I thought the neighbors were trying to "tell me something"

My daughter received two padded envelopes last week, addressed to her, and they were empty. She had her Amazon account compromised the week before and thinks it's related. She closed her Amazon account and the credit card Amazon had on file. So far, no unauthorized charges on the card that was closed.

Interesting. Had not heard of these new scams yet. I also worry about touching items. A while back criminals were leaving money on a windshield or a flower on a car. So that when the person touched the item out of curiousity, it would be laced with fentanyl or something that makes then incapable very quickly. Not sure if this is still going on, but scary times we live in for sure.

@RescueLover   He ordered the garden tool from the Internet.  It wasn't a reputable business like Amazon.

The company who sent the glasses was in China.  Now he doesn't order anything himself.  He has me do it.
