I didn't see the program....just read it on my MSN page....
I find it hard to believe the father was unaware the boy was in his basement...
That's the job of law enforcement.

Exactly! At the time of the interview, the father was not being charged with anything, so as a parent he had a right to be informed off camera first. Whatever their reasons were for giving that news on air, I think it was wrong. Any parent could put themselves in that position, and as a father he the right to be informed privately. It is a strange case, and evidence will come out, and perhaps the dad is guilty of abuse, but at this point, I don't think NG had any right to handle things that way. I never watch her, she is far too sensationalized for me. Glad the boy is safe, and hopefully he can explain what has happened.

I didn't see it live, but I've always used NG as an abbreviation for National Geographic. I wondered what they had to do with this. I'd never have guessed NG was Nancy Grace (never watch her, don't think about her).

After watching this live last night, I remembered why I never watch her anymore!

It was bizarre to see the dad's reaction on NG.
My husband and I happened to be watching it because I wanted to find out more about the boy left in the hot car. It was absolutely crazy when the segment about the boy being found in the basement came on the air! My husband and I both had to laugh, though we definitely found it bizarre. Something seems off there.
Also wanted to say I do agree that Nancy should have went to break.

I find it strange he was in front of microphones & cameras proclaiming everyone's innocence. Tap the brakes, buddy. I would at least talk to an attorney before saying anything to anybody. I too find it hard to believe he didn't know anything....but the police said it appeared the boy wasn't there the entire time...where else was he? Hummmmm.

I saw portions from last night's show and while Nancy over stepped her bounds, i thought the father was putting on an act. I'm just glad the little boy was found alive and that he's speaking to the authorities.

The father's reaction seemed strange to me. I thought he would have said, "Oh my God, is he okay?"or something like that. I think there is a lot more to the story.
