Hopefully her lack of reaction to the 'lactose' will let her know that eggs are safe for her.

There is the term "dairy cows".  Not dairy eggs.  I hope she clears this up for  herself, and it was very kind of you to offer her the cookies.

Did she suffer any repercussions from the egg whites?

@Carmie

I think I would have whipped out my phone, Googled it and showed her the proof.  I have never ever heard anyone say they considered eggs as dairy.  Show her a picture of the food pyramid.  Poultry and Dairy are two separate groups.

With some people, it wouldn't matter how much proof you offered them.

People often have fixed, incorrect ideas in their heads and nothing will convince them otherwise.

I suspect this lady is one of them.

Yes. Some people believe that eggs are a dairy product.

Some people believe that pickles grow in the ocean.

That tofu is a mushroom.

List goes on.

Not that kind of pickle. I'm talking about dill pickles in a jar. Some people think they come from the ocean.

I never said this weird encounter was of the third kind. It was just an everyday weird encounter.
