@RubyinNE.  It definitely is different.  You need to eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies but they are 0 points.  The emphasis is on low sugar and saturated fat.  I like the program because I can enjoy going out to a restaurant.  You are given a book that is for shopping and restaurants and how many points are for each food item.  I am not a low carb type person so I don't know much about that.  Cat Very Happy

Please scan the popcorn and that should give you the correct points.

@isaboo,    I recently joined and here is the info.:

microwave light 2 cups = 2 pts

microwave plain 2 cups = 3 pts

reduced fat = 2 pts

movie popcorn no butter 2 cups = 3 pts

The program is very different from years ago.  Fruit and veggies are 0 pts.  The new program is based on sat. fat and sugar.  You want to keep it on the low side; however, I calculate everything.  Yesterday I had a cube steak with brussel sprouts so I only had points for the steak.  So far it's not bad.  I need to go back to get weighed in this week.  Weight Watchers is really the best program out there.  I love Panera and I can eat there guilt free having a 1/2 chicken cesear salad w/dressing and a cup of soup.   I guess I gave you more info. than you wanted.  Cat Very Happy

Thank you for the information!  It has changed but it is the best weight loss prog. for me.  I remember a few years ago you could hear a large bag of Smart Pop and it was like on 1 or 2 points!

Is anyone currently doing weight watchers -If so how many points for microwave popcorn ?  I have done ww's off and on for years and the last time I was on it popcorn

was either 0 or 1 point for a big bag. Now according to value diary it is 3 or 4 points for a small bag. Does anyone know?

@isaboo - microwave popcorn is SO bad for you with all the chemicals - if you are going to be eating a lot of popcorn - get a Stir Crazy - they are wonderful and the popcorn is not dry.  I use about 1/2 the oil they tell you to use and it is still enough.

What is a Stir Crazy and where do you get it?

hi! i don't do weight watchers, but i buy the jollytime 100 calorie microwave popcorn and it says on the front of the box that it's 3 ww points. it's a small bag. great for a snack. two flavors - butter and kettle corn. the kc is the tastier of the two. i hope that's helpful!

@freakygirl @isaboo- a crisis, LOL.  The Jolly time 100 calorie popcorn has disappeared from the shelves at my grocery store. They put a close out tag on the shelf and they're sold out. Are you still able to find it?

i just ordered some from Amazon and it arrived a few minutes ago.

@freakygirl- yep.  Sold out like they're never restocking it.  Target by us doesn't carry it and neither does Kroger.  I'll check Walmart today if I have a chance.

Re: Weight watchers

Wonder if they pulled it because the points were way more than everyone thought due to inaccurate nutritional labeling....

I've put a lot of effort into this, LOL.

I had to renew my driver's license today and the place was not close by. I had looked at the Jolly Time website last night to see who carries it in my area.

Turns out the driver's license place was only two miles from an Ingles grocery store. I've been there before looking for other hard to find items. It's a haul from my house, about 20 miles or so miles, but we were right there so we stopped in.

They had some of the popcorn, on clearance. I bought all 7 boxes they had in stock.

I'll check Walmart, close to us, tomorrow, but my guess is that this item has been discontinued nationally since two different grocery store chains in my area both had it on clearance.
