Never let what you can't do get in the way of what you can do. Lord,
help me to recognize my abilities and focus only on my strengths so that
each day I will get nearer to my goals.
Scripture for the day:
"The greatest among you will be your servant. All who exalt themselves will
be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted." ~Matthew
23:11-12
Meditation for the day:
When trouble comes, we need not say: "Why should this happen to me?"
We can leave ourselves out of the picture. We can think of other people and
their troubles and we can forget about our own. Gradually, we can get away
from ourselves and we can know the consolation of unselfish service to
others. After a while, it will not matter so much what happens to us. It
is not so important any more, except as our experience can be used to help
others who are in the same kind of trouble.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may become more unselfish. I pray that I may not be thrown
off the track by letting the old selfishness creep back into my life.
Hello my friends! Chilly out today - in the 20's, but at least it's not 20
below zero! Didn't call Sister LaDonna last night, remembered it's Tuesday
nights I do, so called her a little after 7:00 tonight - had a nice visit -
She sure has come along way since last year!! Please pray that Linus can
help my sister, Deil, with her insurance as the company she used to work for
is discontinuing it, and she's so worried about it she can't sleep. Praying
for you all - thanks for praying for us!
THE POWER OF GOD
Author Unknown
Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to
talk to...THAT'S GOD...he wants you to talk to him.
Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like
doing something nice for someone you care for...THAT'S GOD...he talks to you
through the Holy Spirit.
Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long
time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from
them...THAT'S GOD...there is no such thing as "coincidence."
Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for,
like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a
coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted,
but couldn't afford...THAT'S GOD...he knows the desires of your heart...
Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get
better, but now you look back on it...THAT'S GOD... he passes us through
tribulation to see a brighter day...
I Wish You
When you are lonely
I wish you love.
When you are down
I wish you joy.
When you are troubled
I wish you peace.
When things are complicated
I wish you simple beauty.
When things are chaotic
I wish you inner peace.
When things looks empty
I wish you hope.

RIGHT TO LIFE PRAYER
O heavenly Father, strengthen us against the mounting forces of anti-life;
enlighten those who walk in this deadly ways that they may see the enormity
of their sin and return to the generous observance of the divine law. We
pray, too, for mothers, that they may bring up their children in the holy
love and fear of God, thus saving their own immortal souls and furthering
the honor and the glory of their Maker. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Consecration of the home

choose you as the Mother and protectress of our home. We ask you to favour
us with your powerful protection. Preserve our home from every danger, from
fire, flood, lighting, storm, earthquake, thieves, vandals, and from every
other danger. Bless us, protect us, defend us, keep as your own all the
people who dwell in this home: protect them from all accidents and
misfortunes, but above of all obtain for them the most important grace of
avoiding sin. Mary help of Christians pray for all those- who live in this
home which is consecrated to you for all time. Amen
