I happened to catch this before I left for work.  The bridal party looked really happy.  The vows are always rushed on a TV wedding. I loved that dress the bride was wearing.

Dancing is a fad right now--I think the couple was probably on board as wanting to dance down the aisle (sidewalk) and they were both great dancers.  All I care about at a wedding is if the couple and families look happy--they did!

I don't watch Today.  I like hard news and would find this disppointing.  Certainly there's a demand for this or they wouldn't do it.  I watch the cable news channels and usually switch when fluff comes on.  There's so much of importance going on in the world!

Hmmm, I can't say I think of the Today show as a news show.  They have been showcasing weddings for several years.

When the show started, the original sidekick was a chimp and that was back in the 1950s with Dave Garroway.

For news I have The New Yorker and NPR and books that I read on specific topics.

Sure it is.  They cover the news of the day but add a lot of fluff as well.

I thought the vows were too rushed.  That really surprised me.  I wouldn't want to have to say my vows like that.  I did think her dress was beautiful.  I didn't get to see the whole thing though.
