Wedding gift ideas

I need suggestions for gift ideas.

My neighbors across the street are getting married in 2 weeks.

They are in their 50's. It's her 1st marriage, his second. They are very well off as far as $ ( NOT THAT IT SHOULD MATTER)

I normally give cash or occasionally a Visa Wedding GC. They are specifically designed for a wedding.

I never give a gift to open but, maybe this time I will ?

If I decide on $ of Visa G.C. what would be the proper amount to give?

I know it used to be that you would give enough to cover your meal and extra for a gift but, not sure if that's still the guidleine to follow.

The wedding is being held at a function hall which is not that fancy. I am sure the meal will be a nice one. She is Italian and I know from my family that we tend to go all out !

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

By the way I am attending with my husband. No children... we don't have any ! LOL
