Like others I did not frequent most other forums. Now that they've been moving threads to subject area forums, I've found the threads are more civil. I've met a lot of kind posters I never would have encountered just hanging out in VP.
I find even innocent movie threads turn political in VP. In the entertainment forum this doesn't happen often.

Two things come to mind .....
First, the moderators aren't psychic, so they have no idea what forums you check.
Secondly, I think it's important to at least try to keep topics organized here. Example ... Writing about a TV show in Beauty makes no sense, and won't attract the participants who want to talk about it. Seems like plain old common sense to me.
There are several forums here that I don't actively participate in, but I still occasionally read the topics, out of curiousity.

I don't like the changes but unfortunately, it's QVC Board and they can do what they want. I'm just glad that I never had a boring job like the moderators have.
When your "thread/post" is moved, can you not find it by looking in your "Posts by Hayfield"? That is how I sometimes remind myself to return to a specific post, and/or thread. I've never had one " moved", but my short term memory is not what it used to be.
Do you know how to get to "posts by Hatfield"? Just asking!

Sure, it's not hard to find the post, but I find people like to post in the forum they are most comfortable in and have a repore with others that frequent that particular forum.
I'm pretty pro Q, but I agree with leaving them alone unless the OP asks for it to be moved. I'm not following a moved post and the only way I'll see it is if it's moved to a forum I frequent.

The moderators don't sit and trawl all of the forums, looking at the title of every thread, to decide if they think it could be moved, and then move it on their own. No matter how many moderators there are, they don't have that kind of time, nor do they really care about moving them, I'm sure.
If threads are moved to a more appropriate forum, it's because someone asked that they be moved. Someone specifically contacted the moderators and said "please move this thread out of X and put it into Y." If a thread that could have been moved wasn't, it's because no one reported it. It's no more sinister than that. The moderators have said - if you think something should be moved, contact us - if we're not too busy or short-staffed, we'll move it. But I would think that's kind of low on their order of things to do. A better target for annoyance might be those who report such things - but you will most likely never know who that is.
You're telling us that posters on this forum have that kind of input? I highly doubt it.
I noticed in the fashion forum that most, if not all, of the LOGO threads have been moved to the LOGO subforum. I doubt that was done because one poster asked that it be done.
If we can just ask and receive, I have a few things I'm going to request. LOL
I would say yes, and who knows maybe several people have requested it moved? LOL, I'd love to see all the temp-tations threads moved to the subforum, but it would be hypicritical to report them. ![]()

lol yeah, I don't think so either. Maybe if a bunch of people complained but I don't think one poster's reporting of a post being in the wrong forum would cause the mods to move it.

@CardinalGirl I understand what you are saying. You often post on this forum about movies you have seen. Last year in View Points, you mentioned that you saw every movie that was nominated for an Oscar, if I remember correctly. I was impressed.

Aww, I think someone's unhappy all her threads got moved to the Logo forum, which is the appropriate forum. LOL

I see it as belonging to QVC which means they can organize it anyway they want.
When I do look for things I like forums to be organized. I do not watch live QVC and if I am interested in something I like to get advice and I don't want to spend time searching. I want it out there right in front. I don't want to find my electronics in with pet lovers. LOL

@debic I disagree. That may be where people are more comfortable with a few others, but the forum is for the many and it's inconsiderate to other people who come to read about beauty, for example, to have to wade through completely OT threads. Moreover, for example in the fashion thread - I think it's pretty darn cheery to look at and talk about fashions; I really don't want to see - if only the thread title - a "downer" post about someone ill or some such thing. That's not appropriate for the fashion forum, even if someone is more "comfortable" there. So it's better to inconvenience those who go to that forum appropriate than to have your "friends" find your post elsewhere? That's just selfish IMO and of "the rules don't apply to me" mentality. The board has topics for a reason, to keep some organization and to not waste readers' time sorting through thtreads they aren't interested in.

That must be where all the Housewives threads are. LOL
YES......they started moving them months ago so i gave up and am now posting them there. if anyone happens to miss them come on over and join us. i am getting used to it now, but they did have a lot more action here in community chat and on viewpoints.
interestingly though, there are posts ABOUT the housewives that they do allow on community chat, so they are not really that diligent about the "moving" all the time.
