Same for me.  I don't conflate the forums with my shopping.  However, it is unfortunate that they are closing for those who need them.

I'll continue to open the app, check out the TSV and look at new items.   I'll continue to watch a few shows I enjoy.  And I'll undoubtedly make purchases if it's something I like or need and the price is reasonable.

If I have stayed away from facebook except for the  one week I tried it when it first began then I do not believe the QVC facebook would be able to entice me back.  Sounds incredibly boring way to communicate with dear friends from these forums.  Waiting and scrolling is not my cup of tea for table talk time.

I will not be spending my money on here, like i have, i find  coming here and asking about products to people on here,  is just want i need to do.

I signed up for FB years ago when my son was in college. He spent a semester overseas and I wanted to see photos that he would post.  I also tried connecting with "friends" and found I just didn't like the format at all for many reasons.

So I still have a FB page but almost never visit anymore....maybe 2x a year.  I have seen other vendors & business pages and they are cumbersome.  The pages are not easy to navigate and are only really good if you want to see the latest photos of a new product.  It's no where anything like coming here!

I went and joined the FB page they recommend and that visit will be the last time.  It is not even close to the forums.  I like the forums because there are categories to pick from, the format  is good and it's just forum members.  (If the FB page has categories I didn't see them.)

What I saw on FB is people write a post on any topic and you reply to that post.  If you want to go back and reread something you have to scroll through all the posts.  (Since I don't know FB that well there may be an easier way I don't know.)

Also, the administrators and moderators list some QVC hosts.  I don't want them participating.  All the posts I saw were about products no personal stories.  This FB page is going to be just another sales pitch.  No thanks.

Has anyone else tried the FB page?

@Winkk   Yes, I went there and it is a joke.   That is nothing like we have here.  I suggest we all Boycott QVC.  The day the boards go down, we all cancel our QCards.  Cancel any auto delivery orders.  I cannot believe they would do this right before the Holidays when so many are alone. This was a special group of people and we will never find that anywhere else.

@BalletBabe I agree!  I also can't beleive they are doing this to so many who are alone for the holidays....it's cruel but I'm sure they have no idea and of course it's all about the bottom line!

I would suggest that everyone email the new CEO David Rawlinson:

David.Rawlinson@qvc.com

I did and asked that he PLEASE reconsider leaving the QVC forum up.  I mentioned that it is in their financial interests since many of us who like to purchase here would never know about the many wonderful products that other posters disucss.

I have loved QVC and the Boards for years. The choice to move to FB grows more interesting as Mark Z lost 6 billion $$$ yesterday due to the crash. Way to hitch the wagon to a star QVC! Sheesh.

Re: We#love QVC vs. Forums

I have no intention of going to the Q Facebook page.   I'm just annoyed that the Q thinks they can ship us over there without an argument, and try to convince us that we will love it.

I've been done with FB for years. The way Zuckerberg does business and runs it is not for me. I'll miss the forums after all these years but whatever.  I'll especially miss the smart, kind people here.
