I went and joined the FB page they recommend and that visit will be the last time.  It is not even close to the forums.  I like the forums because there are categories to pick from, the format  is good and it's just forum members.  (If the FB page has categories I didn't see them.)

What I saw on FB is people write a post on any topic and you reply to that post.  If you want to go back and reread something you have to scroll through all the posts.  (Since I don't know FB that well there may be an easier way I don't know.)

Also, the administrators and moderators list some QVC hosts.  I don't want them participating.  All the posts I saw were about products no personal stories.  This FB page is going to be just another sales pitch.  No thanks.

Has anyone else tried the FB page?

@Winkk   Yes, I went there and it is a joke.   That is nothing like we have here.  I suggest we all Boycott QVC.  The day the boards go down, we all cancel our QCards.  Cancel any auto delivery orders.  I cannot believe they would do this right before the Holidays when so many are alone. This was a special group of people and we will never find that anywhere else.

I have written a letter this morning, going out in the mail today. I will be joining you in cancelling my account the day these boards are gone.

What qvc has completely missed is that some of us on the forum go very easily to the shopping site from the forum to purchase.  It is easy and once you are on qvc, you have easy access to both the forum and products for sale.  I often will do searches on clothing before or after posting on the forum.  I rarely watch qvc on tv anymore.  Now, I have no compelling reason to log on to the qvc site either.

@Winkk - I'm in it. It's a yawner so far.  Not at all like the forums here, nor will it be.  Facebook groups aren't set up that way.  I'll stay in it (along with QVC Addicts) because it gives me something to read.  I don't think I have ever responded to a post in QVC Addicts ever and so far, I have only responded to one post in the new we love QVC group.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I hate Facebook.  I am a member and use it for a very few specific things.  I don't think this will become one of them.

These forums have been great.  They have saved me a lot of money with timely and honest reviews and opened me up to some great products that I never would have tried otherwise.

It's been fun.

Wow, this is a bummer Smiley Sad    I am not on social media at all, this is the only place I go to chat and I have enjoyed it very much over the years.    I will really miss coming on here and reading posts and replying.   I guess we'll all have to say good bye at the end of the month.

FB is not a good replacement for me. It is strictly to get traffic to what they are selling. It lacks a community feel like here. I predict people who bother to post and get no feedback will not bother again. I could be wrong. I don't post much anymore as YouTube and Instagram are my social media choices.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

It's sad that they caved to FB so they can actually harvest more data.  Basically they can save on IT resources by closing the forums/blogs switch over to FB while gaining alot more advertising and having to use less of their own IT resources to monitor the new site.  And yes, they will harvest your friends and family data for advertising as well.  With FB they get a bigger pot of customer and possible future customer data information.  These forums served their purpose years ago to create what they were pushing which was a "family/friends" kind of shopping experience.

They will lose customers with this move.  They obviously feel it won't harm their bottom line.   Time will tell.  I believe you will start to see more "younger" oriented products being pushed.  Face it, they feel these forums are just filled with old ladies/men and we are expendable.   I guess they consider our purchasing power expendable too.  Again time will tell how big a profit loss they will experience.  Not sure how well they will be able to move into a more younger oriented shopping experience but I look for a "whole new look" to QVC to be pushed shortly starting in 2022.  Personally, I'm done.  Once you turn your back on a segment of your customers, you've lost me.

I agree @Miss Pepsi .. I will continue to shop QVC just like any other retailer.  For me the Forums were a entire different issue.

Re: We#love QVC vs. Forums

@Miss Pepsi

I must say I agree with you at this point.

I DO shop a lot.  As much as I have enjoyed these forums, I really don't think it has a big bearing on my shopping.

Two separate things to me.

However, like other posters, I HAVE looked at items recommended, talked about on these boards....and many times, purchased.  That aspect will be eliminated.
