Don't take it personally, CardinalGirl. We're just expressing our opinions about certain finishes.

Oh, I get that everyone has their own personal tastes. I just thought the words "cold" and "morgue" sounded strange. Here are some pictures of my black granite and stainless kitchen. I get that it won't please everyone, and that's fine--it only has to please my husband and me. But does it look either "cold" or like a "morgue"? I don't think so.

Please don't think I'm upset. I just wanted to show that black granite and stainless doesn't have to look like a morgue or operating room (another reference in this thread). Like I said, even if the room doesn't look "cold", I completely understand that the stainless look is not for everyone. I wouldn't like white appliances for my kitchen, but I can admire them in someone else's if the decor calls for it.

The reason I like stainless so much is that it is so easy to clean.....and I like the "professional" look it lends.

That is true but like all prototypes the products take time to

come to market... There were some on the market in late summer

and more in the Showrooms for Spring...

I was supposed to be doing over my kitchen last Fall but could not

make up my mind on what I wanted...Still do not know... My daughter

gutted her kitchen and will be rebuilding it in the Spring when the

weather improves...

I love your wooden floors... I want wooden floors my husband wants

I already have tile. I want wood floors, too, Kzeks! I love a beautiful wooden floor, especially in a kitchen. ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}$

those of us in the industry knew these changes were coming and have been slowly showing up over the past two years............Whirlpools white ice, which is just white appliances with stainless steel handles........even appliances in chocolate brown, charcoal and a bronze have been out for about a year......................................raven
