I could never live in Cali, though it's the prom queen of the USA - gorgeous, super nice, and abundantly natural in it's glorious beauty - but that lil shake scared the daylights outta me.  So unlike Prom Queen Cali - I'm in the stable footing Philly!

Earthquakes are minor, compared to the annual tornados and hurricanes other states get.

For the most part, they are predictable ... but people stay in those areas, anyway.

Go figure.

I agree with you.  I was born and raised in California.  I don't understand why earthquakes are seen as worse than hurricanes, tornadoes and floodings.  I have experienced several earthquakes throughout the years but never something major like buildings collapsing.

I have lived in Florida all my 85 years and I have never seen a "terrible" hurricane except on TV.   I've had minor damage from Summer storms but never had damage from a Hurricane!

Was without power 5 days once, but no damge near me!

Seems as though they are popping up in many places........

We had a couple of tornado warnings in areas where we hadn't ever had them, as far as I'm aware (of).

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

We now get them in the NY metro area too.  We had one not too long ago.  Shook the whole house.

Hope everyone is okay.

Shaking is not good for a home's foundation and the piping.  uh.........

Signs of the end times.

Earthquakes in different places....wars and rumors of wars....famines, disease

yeah....it's heating up.  Jesus warned us of this.  He would not have extended Himself if He did not want us to be ready.  If not we would abandon our faith and think He is not coming for us.

I am reminded of the hippies who would have signs saying the world is going to end tomorrow when I was little in the early 70's.  I would see them for weeks, months on end with the signs and we are still here.

ITA .... people seem to forget that there are hundreds of religions practiced in this country (and around the world) and many of them don't try to make predictable weather patterns a sign ... of anything.

As you can see, people will believe what they want to believe, in spite of science, proven facts, and fact-checking.
