Snow's great if it only lasts a couple days and I can stay inside by the fire!

Not so great when you have to shovel and shovel and shovel some more and slip and slide on the roads to and from work.

Boooooooooooooooo

I say every winter is the longest winter.

The wind chill in Chicago is about -25 below today. Ugh...

I can't go anywhere anyway. I broke my foot yesterday, so I'm really going to have cabin fever.

Seriously? Brii, if you wanted to visit with us with no interruptions by having to do chores and things outside the house, you could have just said so. lol

Sorry about your foot, I hope you feel better soon. I've broken toes several times, but never my foot. And it wasn't anything like getting off a piece of exercise equipment, it was just me walking too fast and not paying attention!

Brii: Maybe a walking boot? Hopefully the Ortho MD will go that route. I broke a foot one time and a ankle (opposite feet and opposite years lol) and both times the ER casted it..and both times I lucked out and was able to get a walking boot!!

Good luck!

I would be thrilled to have a walking boot. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please.

Thank you.

Tansy and kdgn, not ice. I fell getting off the elliptical. I broke the 4th and 5th metatarsal.

I have a temporary cast. I'm waiting to hear back from my PCP for a referral to the orthopedic docs. Then I'll get a regular cast - yippee.

Don't ask about the crutches. I am not coordinated enough for crutches. LOL

I made it upstairs to my bedroom, so I'm stuck for the duration until my husband gets home in a couple hours. I don't know if they're going to survive me. Yikes.

Thanks, Preds! I need you to keep me laughing.

I'm just catching up on this thread and am reading about your foot. As I was reading the thread from the bottom up, I was thinking that maybe you were one of those people who jumped out of their second story window into a pile of snow, LOL. They were showing them on the news last night. Luckily no one got hurt, because you never know if there's a shovel buried in the snow, so I wouldn't want to hit it at that speed, LOL. Glad to hear that at least you were indoors when you had your accident.

I was trudging through nearly waist deep snow, cleaning off my car when I stepped on an uneven surface and twisted my ankle. After a few choice words, I shook it off and resumed my cleaning. Thankfully it's okay.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, Topaz.

You're the second person that thought I jumped out the window into snow. Do I give off that kind of vibe? LOL

Be careful in the snow and ice. It's treacherous. Glad your ankle is okay.

Thanks, Reese.

I've never broken anything, which is actually amazing because I'm a klutz. LOL

HARLAN, Ky. — The cold might not bother Disney's Queen Elsa, but it's wreaking enough havoc in Kentucky that a police department announced a joke warrant for the popular "Frozen" character's arrest.

Police in the small, rural town of Harlan posted a Facebook message Wednesday about Elsa.

They wrote: "Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song 'Let it Go!' As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous."

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

I just read about the Kentucky police department and Disney's Queen Elsa, Preds. I wish I could Let It Go with winter, and I live in Florida.
