Re: Watching the Maddoff show

I had no idea his sons are dead and I really do not believe they knew nor the mother.........she was taken care of and being a mom..........going to sociala things.  I feel sorry for her and I will say I was jealous she got that jewelry and I am sorry I said it was vulgar to have $2 million in jewelry.......he had the money she thought so we would probably all do something like that.......anway I feel so sorry for the wife.......and the grandchildren.  I have lost everything 4 times in my life the last time was last year but I love the scripture I WILL RESTORE WHAT THE LOCUSTS have eaten and in yard sales and flea markets I have back prettier than I had before I allowed my husband last year to do what I did by selling evreything I had and give the money to him for his home..........a new friends came to visit and said Your home looks like a beautiful doll house.........I love that and I have windows............I am so grateful.  Thank you Yahweh in the name of Yehsua and for those that celebrate Shabbat Shalom.

Re: Watching the Maddoff show

I don't feel very sorry for some of his clients--I read an article where one of them said, "We knew Bernie had to be scamming a lot of people--we just didn't know he was scamming us."  That tells me that some clients knew the returns on their investments were too good to be true; they just didn't care as long as they got their money.

Re: Watching the Maddoff show

My sister worked for a New York City real estate biggie.  He was once close friends with BM, that is until he realized he lost a bundle.  My sister met the whole family and said Bernie could be a real charmer but his wife was a witch of wheels.

Re: Watching the Maddoff show

I do not feel sorry for him or his family .... they all lived  " the life of leisure" never wanting for anything ... million dollar homes all over the place while he took the money of innocent people who trusted him to invest it for their retirement ... it's the people that lost everything that I feel sorry for.... his wife was allowed to keep over 2 million dollars for herself so, she was taken care of ..... I do believe she did not know what he was doing. .... he was a horrible, selfish man with no soul!!

Re: Watching the Maddoff show

I do feel awful for his family. He sold his soul and his wife and sons paid the price.

I don't care that they lived a privileged life. They paid dearly for that privilege.

Imagine the pain that Ruth Madoff feels now, Her two sons are gone. She is considered a pariah and no real future ahead of her.

Many of the victims have been made whole thank goodness. Who cares that she has 2 million. She is emotionally bankrupt thanks to Bernie.

If you watched the Beyond the Fall program, there were so many victims.

Bernie is a complete sociopath.

I too felt sorry for them.  So sad that his oldest son felt such despair that he took his life.

Re: Watching the Maddoff show

Bernie got as far as he did because of GREED, not just his but the greed of all those investors who wanted to make BIG money fast.  The poor folks who fell for Madoff's line weren't happy with average profit they went with the crook who promised returns "too good to be true"  and they were!
