Once in awhile, I find a movie so good that I am sad when it is finished. I saw one like that last night. It is "Julie and Julia", with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. They were both so fantastic! Every single character in the film was perfect. I became so involved with what was going on and forgot about everything else. Knowing that it actually all happened, made it even better!
I LOVE movies that make you get totally lost in them, where every single character is perfect for their role, and you get so emotionally involved with each one of them. No matter how many times you see a film like that, it will seem like the first time again, because there are too many wonderful moments to be able to remember them all.
"Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" is one of my very favorites, as is "Sleepless In Seattle". "Splendor In The Grass" is another great one. In some movies, no matter how many times you see them, you always hope that a sad ending will be different this time, like in "This Property Is Condemned" and "Splendor In The Grass".
I love the movie channels that show both recent and older movies, such as TCM and Encore. A really good movie is timeless! It never really ages because the characters are so genuine, and you get involved with them and care about what happens to them.
