Re: Watching THE CHRISTMAS STORY

It is tradition at our house to have A Christmas Story on all day.  We don't all sit and watch every minute but it is the only program on until football later today.  Merry Christmas to everyone!! 🎉🎄🙏🏻

Re: Watching THE CHRISTMAS STORY

I too have it on all day at my house.....I sit and watch parts of it, or all of it overnihgt..

I actually BOUGHT, from Amazon, a 55" Leg lamp. It is in my front window as we speak. I bought it last year and it was my only purchase of Christmas lights for 2015, so I didn't feel too bad spending that much money...It actually came in a large cardboard box marked FRAGILE ( Fra-GEE-Lay to those in the know!!!) .

It is PRICELESS!!!   A REAL major award!

People toot the horn when they pass my home......It looks exactly like the lamp in the movie!!!

Anyway...Merry Christmas to all......!!!

PS: IGNORE that drunken poster. You'd have to be drunk, or, banned from all other sites to sit around and post anti-Christmas/religion stuff on a shopping network board!!! Think how pathetic. I'm not religious at all, but I don't understand it.

Getting near dark...time to turn on my leg lamp!!!!

Re: Watching THE CHRISTMAS STORY

I loved Jean Shepherd & listened to him on radio for years.  Since I live inManhattan, I also saw several of his live shows at a place in the Villiage called Limelight.  Also interviewed him for my HS newspaper.  Great movie!
