Washington Post review of Justin Bieber concert at Verizon Center 4/29

"On stage, no contemporary pop superstar appears to hate their own life as much as Bieber, who plunged to new sub-levels of poutiness, wallowing through his choreography as if he was performing court ordered community service". WOW!

I don't know his music or performances (yes, I've heard of Justin Beiber), so I don't have an opinion of his entertainment prowess.  However, I truly applaud the writing in this review!  Definitely painted a clear picture in my mind!  LOL

Sounds about right...seems like the reviewer was spot on. The few times I see him 'by accident' online or on tv rarely through E News, he comes across as a spoiled brat.

His behavior will catch up with him someday...

Re: Washington Post review of Justin Bieber concert at Verizon Center 4/29

I've never seen him perform and not familiar with much of his music (I've heard it but don't generally listen to it).

However, my granddaughters and my daughter have been to his concerts.  My daughter said her daughters enjoyed seeing him (this was maybe a year or so ago).

I do think this review sounds very personal to me.  I don't pay a lot of attention to anyoone telling me much about music, books, etc.

I do sometimes look up here what people are saying but it's to help me order (besides people here are smarter)  Ha!

My Dad and step-Dad worked for the Washington Post for many, many years.  He had friends who gave reviews in the paper.  I can tell you they do get personal and have their favorites.

I know who he his, but not a fan.  Too young for my tastes.  I suppose if his bad attitude on stage ticks off enough of his fans, it'll eventually hit him in his droopy pockets & he might shape up.

This young entertainer has an awful big head and ego. Give him another 10 years he will be forgotten and he'll be lucky if he can play at the local firehouse on a Saturday night

Is he even still relevant? Every time I see him, I think "teenage angst" although now I believe he is no longer a teenager but it still seems to fit lol. I don't think I could identify a single song he has sung. He is like many other younger singers that have come and gone (I thought the same thing of Britney spears and Jessica Simpson)- VERY good marketing and managers propelled their careers because, let's be honest,  it really wasn't their singing "skills".

That's too bad!  I never thought much of him, although I like to get my eleven year old son's hair cut in the style that he had at that age (have a picture and everything).  And I did love that song "Baby Baby Baby" or whatever it was called.

However, I saw him on a roast for Comedy Central.  They were ruthless and brutal to him and he handled it like a professional.  I was impressed.  I feel sorry for this young man.  Too much, too soon.  He kind of reminds me of David Cassidy-LOL   I hope he can get himself together and do well.. He does have a wonderful voice.

Not a fan.  His bad boy reputation proceeds his so-so talent.
I've read where he crashes other bigger named entertainers press conferences, concerts, and even weddings of strangers, all to create controversy and keep his name in the media.  So I'm not surprised to hear him taking a hissy fit on stage again.
It's just what he does.

JB is typical of too much too soon and no guidance. I feel sorry for him, he truly has a nice voice and he knows how to perform. I hope he saved his money though because at this rate he won't last.
