Washington National Cathedral Reopening Today ~~

There was quite a bit of damage here in DC, but this venue is the first to be completed and reopening today. Given that the holidays are around the corner, many people residents here or tourists who are visiting love attending services there so that's great.

The Washington Monument is far from repaired at this time, as the team working on it, was moved to the Cathedral. Obviously this Monument has to be very careful checked before tourists again can take the elevator to the top.

Last but not written about, it was late discovered that the ceiling in Union Station (largest station in the U.S.) had different areas where materials had fallen down, and they have recently put nets underneith preventing that people will get a piece on their heads. That looks pretty somber since the nets are in black.

All in all, the earth quake in August this year had much more effect than initially was considered, but glad that hopefully by spring at the latest everything will be fine and dandy again.

No wind today, sunny and 58, but over the next couple of days it will be in the 60s again, so looking forward to that...
