I just finished reading this disturbing story:

might be giving  a run for its money in a horrifying incident.

According to  a video of a man reportedly carrying a severed leg in Wasco made the rounds on social media over the weekend. The limb allegedly belonged to an individual who was struck and killed at the local Amtrak train station on Friday morning, 

In the disturbing footage, the man is seen holding and possibly even taking bites out of the leg.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said that they were able to locate the suspect, Resendo Tellez, 27, that afternoon and booked him for taking evidence from a scene, and removing or mutilating human remains. TMZ says Tellez had other outstanding warrants including possession of drug paraphernalia.

A witness told  that Tellez "started chewing on [the leg] over there, he was biting it and he was hitting it against the wall and everything."

Carlos Baldovinos, executive director of the Mission at Kern County, told KGET that someone brought a severed hand to the shelter three weeks ago following an incident where a train hit a pedestrian in Bakersfield.

“I have never seen or heard of anything like that before,” said Baldovinos.

What makes things even more confusing is that investigators supposedly accounted for all body parts in the Bakersfield crash."

WHAT IN THE WORLD???😲 Reading this jaw-dropping story of such horrific DEPRAVITY sickens me!!!😡 To know this is where we have come, is extremely disturbing!😟

I know this is not the first story of cannibalism or drug induced mania/psychosis, or mental illness, nor will it likely be the last, but this is the reason I try to stay AWAY from mainstream news these days! It has become so much more graphic and gruesome because PEOPLE are becoming that way. This is just shocking!😐

I would NEVER be the same after having witnessed something this barbaric, and am just shaking my head trying to process this!👍

I am sending heartfelt PRAYERS of solace for the family of the victim as they grieve the unimagineable!!🙏🙏💝💝

Ugh me too and I'm actually sorry that I opened this thread to read it.  If I had known it was something this awful, I would have avoided it completely.

  There are many horrid  things going on in this country because of drugs, alcohol and mental illness.  How abt the guy in NY who recently pushed a man to his death in the subway or women walking down of the street in NY getting punched in the face .  Better to be aware and on your guard as there seems to be alot more people brazen to commit harm to others  as compared to years past .

People have a multitude of news outlets they can view to  be informed of all the horrible, awful and brazen things that are going on in the world.

I think many come to the Q board to escape the news of the day for easy, light hearted stories and for general info on a number of things.

It upsets many to open threads here without any type of warning and reading horrible things.

If someone feels they must share gruesome stories, a "warning" would be appreciated.

@skatting44 I wholeheartedly CONCUR, and sadly am always hypervigilant when out and about now because of what is happening!👍 Our days of innocence are gone.😐 Gone are the days when we felt reasonably safe as long as we did not venture into certain places.🤔 I still remain as POSITIVE as I can but know that all the positivity in the world does not guarantee I will not become a victim. I just pray for our nation!🙏💝🙏

I read this before the warning. Then the mother story which I only read 2 words of the title and purposely avoided was brought up again here!

I don't know about others but for me, I wish I had never ever read that.

I will go on thinking about it for a long time in addition to all the already upsetting things that are happening to those I know!

I feel sick right now and just don't understand why! Why people have to post the most sad and horrible things they read from all over the country!

I'm just going to have to avoid a lot of posts and posters from now on.

It is just so upsetting.
