in DC I heard about a lot of other customers had similar problems, apparently the equipment (lines of copper) are very old, and spent hours trouble shooting per day with them (top management in "escalatyion dept. management level, for what???), w/o results. Phone service from them also tons of problems. Was told the reasons why my phone so frequently disconnected, always when speaking to imp[ortant contact at the time, was MY phone was a mess and needed replaced. I invested $85 for a stupid Panasonic and, guess what, the disconnections continued. Was livid.
Next I tried Comcast, had to wait 4 days, then the very nice young man came in and didn't know what to do, dismantled my landline, left cable on floor, etc. etc., all along while promising he'd be back. Gave him my last bottle of water and put aside the tip, in case it would run overtime. Never showed, nor called, and when I called him, he had given his cell, he hung up on me. Had a late dr.'s appt for med. so was in a [pickle but cxld it, as I was so eager to het my services back up. Called Comcast, never called back, then I really went through the roofg and signed on with RCN.com, local and in NY, Phili, Chicago and some other places. They had a young man over yesterday a.m. and within one hour I was back up. Tel. had to be ported over, taking 3 days to get my own no. back, but nothing I can do for that.
The hours I lost I can never make up, in lost business, but try to run with it now and happy to see what is going on here...
