I went to visit my boss/friend near Martinsburg, and I had never been there before. In 3 days time we saw how much more color the blossoms had, and this morning, on the way to the train, the fields looked like a Monet painting, so lovely.
What was sad was out of these few days 2 days she had severe digestive problems so we had to completely change our plans. This happens to her on a regular basis, but refuses to see a dr. and I really worry about her. One thing we did do was my showing her the Dollar stores which she was unfamiliar with.... Yesterday we couldn't do the brunch for which I had made reservations for the same reason.
One thing we did have the first night was some kind of fish from the Q. and it was wonderful, although quite expesive. I had brought some special bread (Harvest) from WFM and Leyden cheese which is a wonderful combination. The 2 dogs behaved very well, and were all over me, so I think now i am part of the family...
Do have a wonderful spring and hope you too can enjoy the beautiful blossoms.
Tomorrow officially the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC starts..
