To get a definite and correct answer call your local Walmart.

They are not taking returns in my area.  I live in PA.

I recently purchased a jar of body moisterizer that was in a sealed box at Walmart.  When I got home and opened it, the plastic jar was destroyed and broken into many pieces and the cream was all dried out.  The box was perfect with no damage.

Walmart would not let me return it.  I am still hanging on to it and will return it as soon as I can.  I am very disappointed that they will not take back items if they are sold clearly damaged.

Their CS rep had the nerve to tell me I should have opened the box and checked inside before I bought it.  What?

Oh, they reminded me that after they start taking returns, I have an extended six weeks time period in order to do so.

so I live in NJ--you said that in PA they didn't take your return--when I went to Wal Mart here in NJ I returned 2 ottomans that I purchased on line--no problem--credited me $78-that was on May 8th--but they said they wouldn't take back the clothing I had!--so I guess I will call my local store to find out if that has changed--

@danedylan   They are not processing returns on certain items which includes health and beauty items, clothing and cleaning supplies at this time.

It's supposed to be a temporary issue and when they again allow returns of these items, you will have a six week window to make a return.

I ordered curtains on line yesterday.  I had problems checking out so I had to call them.  I asked if they can be returned if I didn't llike them/didn't work for me and she said yes.

It's not just Walmart.  Someone told me they witnessed a customer at their grocery store (Kroger) that checked out and suddenly realized she got the wrong size item and wanted to walk back to get the right one to exchange it.  She was told they couldn't take returns or exchanges.  Ridiculous.  I don't understand the policy anyway.  Won't the items have the same germs on them a month from now?  And, what about all the clothing that gets tried on in the store and items touched?  Common sense has left the building with some of these suggestions of regulations.  As if the mask wearing isn't confusing enough....

I live in Ohio.  Our Walmart is taking returns on some items but not all items right now.  She said eventually they will take returns on everything as usual.  The return period has been extended.

Just fyi, Target and Sam's Club are both taking returns again of everything.
