Walmart+ return from home experience

I'm sure this isn't new for a lot of you, and you've probably already tried it, but if not...

We have a Walmart+ membership. I ordered a sweater from Walmart, which I received a couple of days ago.  When it came, it wasn't to my liking, so I decided to return it.  I have seen the "return from home" (or something like that) option when I've gone online to start the return process.  (It is only available for Walmart+ members.) I have always just chosen to return items to the store, but it's so miserably cold out that I decided to try this option to see if it would work as easily as the website described.

I had the option for a time frame of 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm.  I chose the first option. Well, it’s a good thing I got ready early, because the guy showed up at 8:45!  I just showed him a code on my phone, which he scanned, and then he took the package and left.  I got a message from WM 5 minutes later saying my refund was in progress.  I think we may have to renew WM+!!!  This is great!

I have been thinking about trying the WM+ perk where you pay $40 a year, and groceries (order has to be at least $35) are delivered free to your home with no tipping allowed.  I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but after this experience, I think we will give that a try.  I'll have to look again, but last time I checked, they were offering a 3-day free trial.

@Ainhisg

Are you saying WM+ perk is an additional $40 on top of what we already pay for Wally+ membership.....but then you don't tip with delivery??

I am Wally + also.

I live very close, so I do curbside because I am able to....and I save the money by not tipping.

I have friends who are homebound and do delivery exclusively and very often.

If there is NO tipping allowed...and it is only $40 more....they would save a lot.

Thanks in advance for clarifying.

@RespectLife Yes!  I'll attach a couple of screenshots explaining more.  You have to have the Walmart+ membership.  Then you add this extra service for $40 a year (or you can pay monthly).  The extra service is called "In Home." You find it where it says "Manage your membership." No tipping, and they'll put what you order wherever you want it--even on your kitchen counter if so desired.

I do curbside, too, but just like tomorrow--I have a pickup scheduled, but it is so, so cold out!  I would love to just stay in.  This would have been a perfect time to try out the service, and they do still have the 30-day free trial available.

In the screenshots I posted, one states you can have the groceries delivered to your doorstep--no need to have anyone coming into your home.  And yes, WM has eggs.

@RespectLife well, boo!  I just tried to sign up for the "in home" add-on, and the website said it's not available in my area yet.  Boo, again!  I got all excited about nothing.  lol

No!  WM sent an email to me with a barcode in the email.  I had that pulled up on my phone, and he scanned the bar code.  I handed him the sweater in its plastic bag, and that was it.  No boxing, no packaging, no labels...it was great!
