FedEx is terrible...sounds like they are the problem here. I hate buying from businesses that use FedEx because they show up late/after hours (I always use my work address for packages so they are not left unattended on my doorstep at home)...claim they can't deliver...claim they deliver when they don't...etc. Then the package ends up with the post office and goes through their process which often takes another day or 2.

I prefer Jet, which was bought by WM, to the River or WM, but I order from all three.
WM recently dropped the minimum for free shipping on most items to $35 from $50, I believe b/c that's Jet's practice. You can also do returns at WM stores, which is much more convenient than dealing with the River.
I've been fine with WM, EXCEPT for their recent practice of slapping very sticky labels with my data printed on them on anything that they force me to pick up from the store. Those labels are not small and they deface the product, sometimes obscuring important info on the bottle or packaging. When I can pull them off, they remove ink on the bottle or paper on the label. What I object to is that WM puts those labels on MY property--after I've purchased the item--without my permission. IMO, if they can't handle their stock and fulfilment without vandalizing the customer's property, they shouldn't sell pickup-only products. I complained to them by email, but never heard back.
For that reason, I'm now highly selective about what I'll buy from WM online and won't buy any cosmetics or toiletries unless off the shelf.

I guess it is FED X that messed up, instead of walmart.

Sometimes, what happens just doesn't make good sense, does it. I think we've all had that experience at some time. Hope you get it worked out!
Not to denigrate Fed Ex, because I know they are not ALL bad --
But, the Fed Ex drivers in my area routinely leave packages in front of my garage door. This means that unless I see the package, I likely will run over it.
I've intervened many times and told them to stop doing this, but just yesterday, another driver was preparing to drop in front of the door -- doesn't make sense.
I've had good luck with Walmart delivery, but I know that it is likely just a matter of time before things go awry. When it does, it is annoying.

OT: Straykatz, I have no advice for you, but you have one of the cutest avatars I have seen! Every day I look for something bright and funny to start my day with-I'm glad I opened this thread!

The only thing I don't like is when I placed an order it came in 4 or 5 boxes by 4 different shippers.
I saw UPS, USPS,Fed ex and Laser Ship in 1 day!
I had to go downstairs 4 times to get all the boxes.
I can do the stairs but sometimes my knees hurt.
Stop trying to make me workout Walmart! lol![]()

I ordered an item for pickup at the store. I got confusing information about ready at store and then not so after more than 5 days after promised date I went to store for pickup. I was told I could not pick, up without e-mail verifying that it had arrived. Anyway, I did online chat and we decided the order needed to be cancelled and reordered. The gentleman took care of that. I received confirmation of arrival, went to pick up, and the lady went to the back to get the package. As "fate would have it" another woman came from the back with the item that I had purchased. I questioned if she was bringing to me and she said that she was cleaning out the back room area and had this item that didn't have a label, etc. The other lady came forward with a boxed item that was the second order. Anyway, this item had not ben properly labeled (packaged) and therefore was lost in the store. What a waste of everyone's efforts. Walmart handled nicely for me, but I was very frustrated because of confusion. I was able to help the lady there determine I no longer needed that first item and that it could go back. One can imagine how often this happens. I am still not an online-fan. There are lots of variables.

This ia a Walmart/Fedex issue. I have only had these two in cohoots puting a package in front of my garage door.

The OP is blaming Wal Mart for what is obviously a Fed Ex problem. LOts of companies use Fed Ex. DOes this mean the OP will never order from any company that delivers via FedEx because that is where the blame lies.
