Re: Walmart Websites: Watch Out! Part 2

apparently I am the only one that doesn't have a problem with it.  Been adding stuff to my list all day,  I will do a pickup on Tuesday.  I have to add when I think about it.  Seemed pretty cut and dried to me.

Oh well, maybe this was an experiment.

They have changed the ap several times since I started using it long before the pandemic.  I have in the past preferred some changes more than others.  Generally about the time I get used to it, they change it again.

@Miss Pepsi  You're certainly right that Walmart tests different ideas all the time, always looking for a way to lessen the sales gap between them and Amazon. I think this was a try to get as many offerings in front of the customer as possible.

When Walmart's new ideas don't work, they get rid of them quickly. I am still mourning their sale of Shoes.com.

Re: Walmart Websites: Watch Out! Part 2

I had to cross Walmart off my list. I can't stand that store, and the only one I choose to go in is several miles away. They are eliminating cashier lanes and moving to only self-checkout. I am told this will be at all of their stores in our area eventually.  While transitioning, self-checkout stands cannot accept cash, only cards. The produce is now next to the school supplies and the shampoo, etc. is with the candles. I'm done!

Re: Walmart Websites: Watch Out! Part 2

The new site is awful and their android app keeps crashing. I have my parents signed up for Walmart + and it seems the terms of that changed with this update. I thought it was free 2 day shipping and now it's 3. Although if you order that way they often just drive the stuff over from a local store and it's there the same day or next anyway. I also noticed it's tough to get a delivery day but maybe that's an employee shortage issue. Used to be able to pick the next day or two days away. I placed an order for my parents earlier this week and couldn't get it deliverd until Sunday.

@pigletsmom   I don't see Walmart + anywhere on the new website. Maybe they're phasing it out.

****Now it's back and still says two-day shipping.

I hate their App and only use the website which hasnt had any issues for me, although I dont order from Walmart that often....but a recent item I ordered sure came fast! I think they are must be experimenting with their APP since the holidays are around the corner and they want to be  ready...

The new combined dot com and local grocery pickup website that was launched last week and removed is back. It's gone from horrible to horrible+ because at least I can navigate it.

In my cart: last week's groceries which I already picked up, 18 dot com saved for later items, 5 grocery items for this week.

I must choose pickup, ship or delivery for each item.

New and not improved.

@PickyPicky3 :  You are so right.......I order items to be delivered to our "shop", and the website is terrible.  I even chatted with them and they suggested that I call where someone can help me with ordering LOL.  I told them I had ordered for years from their site and knew how to order.  It was a ridiculous conversation.  Anyway......hope they straighten it out soon.  Two steps forward......one step backwards.

@tends2dogs

I don't order groceries for pickup, but do order other items frequently.

I agree that the new Website is awful, and, like you, told them so in the feedback.

It's just unwieldly, inconvenient and a pain in the neck trying to navigate.  Not to mention the search feature is all but useless.

I've got 3 stores within 30 minutes of my house but they don't always have what I want.

Let's hope they fix what is wrong with it!

@Witchy Woman  I hope more people will give negative feedback on their site.  I need to put together an order, but I am dreading how long it takes.  I hate to go into Walmart.  Most of the time they only have one manned check out.

In the meantime, here is something to smile about:

Well, he just couldn't be any more precious.  Sending hugs and kisses, especially to that shiny black nose!

How lucky you are!
