i wouldn't say never. If the people are bonded and i had in-home camara, set up, it could work.
if they just put cold/frozen items away and left the rest for me, that would be fine. Some people can't lift bags or maybe just had surgery, so i can see this working, for some. Not everyone has family and has to trust more outsiders.

This is a hard no for me. As in absolutely, never going to happen.
My question is simply would anyone consider this service.
I think Walmart is opening themselves up for security lawsuits...BUT I can see people that have health issues or limitations and no family/friends to help them with everyday tasks take advantage of that service....I think a professional care worker would be a better option ......but the Walmart option would be something more people could afford...

@FranandZoe wrote:I can definitely see a need for this type of service. Like someone else said you have other people in your home that you don't know personally.
Not everyone who is homebound is in need of a nursing home. If you don't drive, don't have anyone to take you shopping then what.
It's easy to say go to a nursing home but not everyone can afford that let alone insurance doesn't pay for it. Medicare pays for 60 days IF medically necessary. Personal care homes are expensive and private pay at a skilled nursing facility is extremely expensive.
If its just a matter of delivery of the groceries people already have services like Instacart, Shipt, and deliveries by grocery stores...I work from home and during the pandemic I signed up for Instacart, and continue to use this service. The difference is I just have them leave the groceries at my front door ---contactless delivery.....I dont need for them to come inside my home.....but I do like the convenience of delivery especially heavy items like 25 lbs of cat litter, laundry soap, and other heavy items, and Im at home when this takes place...... It concerns me about Walmart coming inside especially if no ones at home....are they casing the home checking it out for valuables, perhaps for a future break in ...????
But on the other hand....any stranger whether it be an A/C repair person, a construction worker you hire from Home Depot or Lowes to do a repair or renovation, or a plumber, computer or TV repair person...even if they are bonded might give one cause to pause, but what are people that need a special service gonna do...🤷♀️
One thing that was kinda scary was a news story about drivers that worked for Uber who found a way to use a friend's or family member's info for their background check if they had something to hide in their past.....things to give one pause...

I saw three of these brand new electric delivery vehicles for the first time parked next to the curb-side pickup area at my local WM this morning when I went there to get my stuff. Looks like WM is raring to go full steam ahead with their WM+ service.

I was at Walmart this past Thursday, but I was not really paying attention. I was trying to squeeze in grocery shopping on my lunch so I was pretty focused on moving up and down the aisles. (smile) Since I am aware of this service now. I am sure that I will start to see these types of vehicles as well.
