@We rescue cats thank you for your response!  The WM in-home is an additional subscription ($40) that you can add to WM+ ($98).  The groceries are brought from the store by a WM employee, so no tips are allowed.

@Ainhisg WM in-home is wonderful!  We are lucky to have great drivers, nice refrigerated trucks, tracking on a live map when it is on the way, and deliveries in the morning or afternoon.

I would never use the individual drivers unless I had to--you never know who's coming or what you will get.  With in-home, the drivers are known people and WM employees.

@Ainhisg  You'll be notified of when to expect delivery and also confirmation when it's been delivered.  They'll also remind you to get the perishable foods put away promptly.

We're still in Florida at the rental.  The other day I needed a few things.  I set up the order and they wanted something like $10-$13 for the delivery charge.  I joined Walmart+ for $1, for 30 days, which I'll cancel when we get home, but the delivery was free that way.  Be advised, though, that you will be billed for a delivery tip for your driver.  I think it's 10%.  I don't remember if there's an option to increase that.

@JeanLouiseFinch,  with Walmanrt+ you have tipping options.  The default is 10% but there is a box for other amounts.  You also have the option for no tip.  If you did tip the % can be changed after delivery for up to 24 hours.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

Spark drivers have to do a background check. Walmart monitors driver accounts all the time and if they get any kind of ticket, accident,  or more than a couple of complaints they are deactivated.

After checking the website occasionally for years, Walmart In-Home delivery is finally available in my area, so I signed up for a 30-day free trial.  If it goes as planned, I will be so happy!  Smiley Happy

For those who have it, I have a question.  I know to select a window for the delivery person to come, but will I get a text when s/he is on his/her way?  Or will s/he just show up?

@Ainhisg

Congratulations on Walmart+ In Home coming to your area!

As others have said you'll get a text and a map showing the location of your driver.

My drivery delivery person is wonderful, always on time and I love that yellow & blue electric van Smiley Happy

For us the extra $40 over regular Walmart+ is so worth it.  Love the consistency and no tipping pays for itself for me in about 2 months of deliveries.

Go into your settings to be sure you're set up to receive these notices. Or check the box when you checkout. I receive texts and emails every time.

One word of caution. There are times I receive notices after the delivery. If I haven't heard anything, I always go to the app and check the status.

Another option -- request person to person handoff while checking out so the driver has to get a code to deliver. Walmart posts your code in the app and texts.
