Walgreens is getting really generous with their coupons now that you just "clip" from their "MyWalgreens" email and it goes on your card.

Two weeks ago - I had $20 savings, and today the "clips" saved me $21.68.  Their coupons have been getting very generous.

I estimate I'm saving about 1/3 everytime I go to the store.

Sounds very positive, but keep in mind their regular prices are outrageous.

Using Walgreen's coupons brings the price down to what it is everywhere else. Walgreen's is very expensive.

@ALRATIBA, same for me. As far as Walgreens being really expensive, I guess it depends on the products. I don't find that the products I consistently buy there to be expensive at all. I find great bargains every week that are lower than what I can get even at Walmart, e.g., coffee.

Re: Walgreens Coupons

[ Edited ]

I order ACT Total Care, Biotene gel and Spin Brush refills online from our local Walgreens. The online prices for these items are very good and there are often clipped coupons.

I get regular emails from W's with these and they often have a "buy one, get one free" and I've saved a LOT doing this.

This is the only mouthwash I use and they don't carry it nor does my Safeway.

I get FREE delivery by FedEx to W's and I just pick up at the store which is 1.5 miles away.

In store prices are always higher than online prices with Walgreens. I was ordering ACT even when they did carry it because of this.

Digital coupons are well-hidden on their website.  It's as if they're hoping you don't find them.

I don't like that they've discontinued their weekly circular.  Yes, there is a weekly circular but it's only found online.  That's crazy - without receiving a weekly circular in the mail, and knowing their prices are consistently high, I don't even think to shop there any more.

@LuvmyLab

It might be a regional thing.

The Walgreens here (NYC - just around the corner) is less expensive for grocery products (ex. cereal, canned goods, TP, paper towels) than my local supermarket.

And other "drugstore stuff" for instance -  Tresemme hairspray - was 2 for $10 - which is a ballpark amount elsewhere.  I had $5.00 "clip" for the purchase of 2 Tresemme products.

@ValuSkr If you sign up for emails, the coupons are not "hidden".  I get email ads more often than weekly and they clearly show the digital coupons available. Just sayin'.

@Love my grandkids   I agree.  I get their emails and the coupons are very easy to find.  They have some very generous coupons.

@Jinlei @Love my grandkids   I have had a Walgreens account for years, but noticed I haven't received Walgreens emails since September.  Is that when they ditched Balance Rewards in favor of a new rewards program?  And they wanted me to sign-up for the new program?
