@Lindsays Grandma  I read every single line and can relate to much of what you wrote. Words to live by, move forward and be a winner.

These words to ponder are worth saving and rereading from time to time. I can relate to some of words of wisdom and can think “if I only knew then what I know now.” Thanks for posting. There’s something for everyone.

I wish my mother had read some of those sayings, especially the part about children remembering who was there. I hope I learned from her mistakes and didn't make too many of my own.

I oftentimes won't open a thread if it comes with the "long" warning, but when I saw who the OP was, I was sure I'd want to read it.  Thanks for sharing this @Lindsays Grandma.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every word.  Yes, so much to ponder!  As @OKPrincess said, these are words to be kept and reviewed from time to time.

You just made me cry, tears of gratitude.  I have been through many hard times in my  life and I never let them get me down.  I always fought my way through with no ones help, that is because I had a great deal of self worth, thanks to my parents.
