There are no gas lines on my property or in immediate area. I'm dreading the high electric bill that's going to result from using the electric heat pump on cold days. I have a lovely wood burning F/P and the very immediate area, maybe 5 feet, gets warm and it's cozy and nice, as well as cheap duraflame logs - one per night. My living/dining rooms are combined in a large open area and I'd like a fan to blow the heat into the whole area so I won't be confined to always sitting so close to the F/P. I''m thinking about having a fan installed, if that's possible, but can't afford anything too expensive. I have only vague ideas how that's done and don't know who to contact for bids. Have any of you ever had that done or know what I should do? Any help would be hreatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
