WINTER'S JUST STARTED, AND I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE!

I feel house-bound already - tomorrow going to French Lick to look at Christmas decor (I'll post pictures Tuesday) and maybe play some slots and have lunch with a friend. Do you ever have those days where you feel like you could crawl out of your skin if you don't get out of the house?

My sister went to French Lick last year. We've never been there yet.

But yes, we didn't even have snow on the ground yet, when I went through that. My husband says now if I mention that, he says, you just need to get some exercise, here's the shovel. (Sometimes I could pop him, with his sense of humor!)

Today's high temperature in Wisconsin is below zero. I'm hoping there is no reason to even open the door to the frigid temps today.

@bri20I need to still get DH Christmas presents. I'm hoping it's better Wednesday or Thursday. I don't want to go on Friday.

I need to get out of the house because the dog is expecting his walk. It's 23 degrees right now in Albuquerque, but the sky is blue and the sun is shining. By the time I get dressed, it'll feel more like 40 degrees and a light sweatshirt will be enough.

Yesterday morning was chilly because it was windy. No wind right now so I better get ready to head out.

Unless weather forces me to stay home which, in Atlanta in the winter, it very rarely does, my husband and I go out every single day.

I would go bat you know what crazy if I had to stay home day after day. I love everything about our house and I feel safe and warm here, but I want to get out and do things, every day, for as long as I physically can.

Now, if we have a rare "snow event", I can also stay in my Jammie's and never get out of the recliner. I'm flexible like that, LOL, but if the weather is ok, I make sure we do something every day.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

There's too much going on right now w/Christmas and lots of birthdays, so I haven't felt house bound yet, but about Feb and Mar I will be climbing the walls. I do like all the College bowls, NFL payoffs and NCAA March Madness, so that helps.

I am kind of a home person anyway, but after a while the snow and cold get to me and I get tired of having to dress like Nanook of the North just to go out and get the paper and mail!!

@hoosieroriginal I thought your title was going to say, "...and I need to get out of the cold." That's my feeling anyway. And winter has only really just begun. The only positivie: the days will start getting longer this coming week at the winter solstice.

Small consolation though.
