@ShowMe

I'm in Southern Maryland, and it's currently snowing.  The flakes are huge.

Around 5 a.m., it was sleeting.

We went from a few days of autumn to winter.

I agree, it's too soon!

@Krimpette

I'll bet you are seeing snow this morning.

I'm in Charles County and we have snowflakes the size of teacups right now.

@drizzellla

I used to work for a man that collected gravestone rubbings.

I've never heard of it again since reading your post.

Hope you have decided to stay home!

@Witchy Woman. You're correct!  My deck is covered with wet snow.  It's coming down at a pretty good rate right now, but does look very, very wet.  I expect it will change to rain before long.

 The rubbings that I did are really works of art. They are made out of brass and quite attractive. My favorite is Thomas Boleyn. The father of Anne Boleyn. It is 6 feet tall and quite ornate.

The ones I did were also inside churches.

I am not sure what my old boss has.

Yours sound very different from what I knew as "grave rubbings."  Thomas Boleyn!  Very unique indeed.

The ones my boss had were paper placed against the stone and a "rubbing" of the words/design done with graphite or some chalk like substances.

He would then have that image framed.

The ones you have sound like something else all together.  He always called them "grave rubbings" but he could have been mistaken.

Just turned on our local channel 2 to get the weather.  They just said so far there is 3 1/2 inches out there.  It looks like more than that.  And it is still snowing some pretty big flakes.  They said 4 to 8 inches by the time it stops.  It appears to be a very light snow.

It really is a beautiful winter wonderland out there.  They did clear off the street out in front of my building.  It is a pretty heavily traveled road.  They are cautioning folks to take it easy.

Sure glad I don't have to be out in it.

Here's a big Heart for everyone on here this morning.

Will be changing my sheets in a little while.  It does take me quite a while to get that task done.  Have to take breaks in between.  But eventually I get it done.  My neighbor upstairs will be doing my laundry this evening when she gets home from work.  I do like to change my own sheets....no one makes my bed up the way I do.  Pretty picky about that.....hospital corners, etc.

The weather girl just measured the snow in the Richmond Heights area......5 1/2 inches.  That's not far from where I live.
