Before I saw it, I read about it and that's why I answered the way I did - it said the ending was up to the viewer. But I just googled it and she did indeed live, her coming out of the water was symbolic of a rebirth out of the primordial ooze ... Supposedly.

I'm in the minority but I really didn't like this movie. I never doubted she was alive.

I didn't like it either. While the scenery in 3D was spectacular, the story was not and I was not all that impressed with the acting.

I thought I was about the only one who didn't like this movie. For some reason I didn't connect with the Sandra Bullock character. I didn't care if she made it or not. I usually like Sandra Bullock but not this time. I don't know if it was the script or the acting.

I thought this was a very boring movie-hated Sandra's character. She lived but by that time I really did not care.
