Were they kidding with that ending?

Where did she land-did someone find her-I did not like the ending at all.

It's supposed to be ambiguous. To some, she landed in a lake some where, back safe on earth. And to others, she died in space and went on to paradise. Take your pick.

You did warn me it was a spoiler. I haven't seen it yet, but agree that endings that leave you hanging are just not good. Are they too lazy to finish the movie? I didn't like the ending of Prisoners either. So many people I have talked to didn't understand who did what. i.e why the dead guy was in the priest's basement? Did the woman kill him and if so how was she able to implicate the priest? If the priest killed him...why? Movie would've been a washout w/o Jake Gyllenhaal. He was amazing in that movie!! Ya ya, people we are in the "wrong category!"

The themes are strong, though -- the will to survive, etc. Wikipedia explains it better.
