I honestly don't remember what I was doing.

I was with my family at cedar point amusement park. my mom cried for a long time. I had never seen her cry before.....that vaca didn't go too well.

Good afternoon,

I was in Disney World, CA - at the restaurant, making arrangements for my tour group. People started crying like crazy. My group, some 40-45 pax, from many different countries cried as hard as all others. The rest of the day was used to remember Elvis by, and stories told by those who had seen him in their home country when he was traveling there.

It was one of the strangest days ever that I can remember with my tour groups.

It was a hot summer day, and I got up and went out to the summer porch where my brother was reading the Sunday paper ... He said, "Elvis is dead."

I don't recall as I never was a big fan.

Unfortunately I do not remember where I was and what I was doing when Elvis died but it was August in the later 70s so I was probably at the shore because I went to the shore every summer for weeks in August back then. But I do remember when John Lennon was killed. I was home with my 11 month old son who was napping. I literally collapsed to the floor and cried for weeks.
