Kirby is the boy kitty (on the bottom) and Aubrey is the girl kitty (polydactyl) on top, weighing in at a whopping six pounds.
Whoops... sorry that I mixed that up, but probably because I've heard it as a unisehx name.
Love Kirby's and petite Aubrey's names, as well as polydactyl kitties; more 'paw' more cute! I've read that many are descended from one of Hemingway's cats.

Kirby is named after a gentleman colleague who passed the week we adopted him.
Aubrey is a combination- from her Glamour Puss shelter pic, we thought she looked a bit "Old Hollywood" like Audrey Hepburn, but as an orangie, she is auburn, so we combined them to make Aubrey.

Very nice tribute to Professor Kirby, and great thought process re: Aubrey's name.
When I think of the name "Aubrey", I instantly connect to the lovely, gentle early 70's song by the group Bread, "Aubrey". David Gates (of "Everything I Own", "If", "The Goodbye Girl", & other songs fame) wrote it after watching Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Here's the song:

And the beautiful lyrics:
And Aubrey was her name,
A not so very ordinary girl or name.
But who's to blame?
For a love that wouldn't bloom
For the hearts that never played in tune.
Like a lovely melody that everyone can sing,
Take away the words that rhyme it doesn't mean a thing.
And Aubrey was her name.
We tripped the light and danced together to the moon,
But where was June.
No it never came around.
If it did it never made a sound,
Maybe I was absent or was listening too fast,
Catching all the words, but then the meaning going past,
But God I miss the girl,
And I'd go a thousand times around the world just to be
Closer to her than to me.
And Aubrey was her name,
I never knew her, but I loved her just the same,
I loved her name.
Wish that I had found the way
And the reasons that would make her stay.
I have learned to lead a life apart from all the rest.
If I can't have the one I want, I'll do without the best.
But how I miss the girl
And I'd go a million times around the world just to say
She had been mine for a day.

My cat likes to cuddle up next to my arm when I'm on the computer ..... and before long, he's snoring!

Correction ..... the "upper paw" in the relationship ..... LOL

Note the stylish addition of aluminum foil to the side of the chair, after an especially crazy "witching" hour.
Crazy-

A bit of calm-

Most evenings, just before I feed her, my female terrier sits in front of me and emits a tiny howl with a gurgle at the end, lol.

He's just a domestic shorthair, as far as I know.
However, when I was looking on Google images for a cat in a sink picture for something, there were quite a few that looked just like him. Maybe they are an especially naughty breed!
