I don't put a label on myself. 

I don't like to be defined by age.  That's just me...

In my 50's I thought of myself as Middle aged....now at 60 I see myself as just OLD.....elderly I consider 70's and up.  Most doctors see patients that are 60 and older as having one foot in the grave.

When I read my discharge papers from the Hospital for an "73 year old elderly female" my ego was bruised.  Me?

Well....it's not young and it's not old whatever it is!!!!  My idea of what it is changes every year I get older.

I'm hoping it's a state of mind, otherwise I'm moving out of middle age and into...I can't say it LOL!!

Middle Age was 30 when I was in school.  Middle Age was 55 when I started work.  Middle Age will be 90 when I decide to retire. Middle Age is when I decide it is.  Middle Age is when I read about the Middle Ages.  Maybe we can all make it to the Middle Ages.   May we all meet again in the next generation of Middle Age.
