Hello,
Had to go see the vein Dr. today. I had a varicose vein taken care of back in December. There is some residual blood still in the vein. Boy is it painful for him to get it out of there. Hopefully when I go back in a month it’ll be better.
I took it kind of easy all afternoon. Watched a couple of horror movies. I did make a chicken and rice soup for dinner. I do it in the pressure cooker and it was delicious. That’s about all for today. Have a nice evening everyone.

Drying the clothes I washed. Earlier I decided to go for atalk and feed my kit e walk and caught in the rain in ca. Lucky Walmart is the last store I walk through instead of up a hill so I bought a umbrella. Forgot to take one with me. Otherwise talk and feed my cats. rested here for a short time-can't take naps. Crossword puzzles for my brain--ha ha. Nothing much.

Spent my day getting ready for this months recheck appt on my husbands foot. It’s an 8 hour day trip for us, so we need snacks and drinks in the car in case our blood sugar drops.
Gathered up most of our trash and have it in the garage ready to set out when we get home tomorrow night.
40% chance of rain here tomorrow, 70% in the area where we’re going.

The first day of Spring started out sunny and a high of 52 then by late afternoon it was clouding up and now a fine misty rain is coming down. Looks like the next 10 days are a mixed bag of sun, rain, and snow. That is just how March is but at least we're getting closer!
Today I worked in the office all day as I usually do (we own our own business). At end of day went to the bank and then got my nails done. By the time I got home it was dinnertime. We had leftover sloppy joes, cucumbers with sour cream, and roasted sweet potatoes with a nice glass of red wine.
We relaxed the rest of the night. My husband's knee has been bothering him. He needs a knee replacement which will happen this year. He had the other one replaced two years ago. With owning your own business makes it hard to take the time off to get it done. We are hoping late summer/early fall.
This morning my friend called to say a coyote killed a small dog in her daughters neighborhood which is close to ours. We have 2 Airedales and a little Boston Terrier. Our little Boston is 13 years old, blind, deaf, and has dementia. So I worry about him. Luckily our property has a 6' high wood fence and our 2 Airedales would protect him. They are big healthy girls! But still I felt so bad about someones pet.
I hope you got your HurryCane and you liked it! Sounds like you had a busy day! Hope the sewer/plumbing issues are solved. Have a good day tomorrow!

@Frau K.....Ouch.....that must really be painful. Good that you took it easy after that. Your chicken and rice soup sounds wonderful. Don't have a pressure cooker....but hear that those who do, love them.
Hopefully today you are feeling better.

@halfpint1.....glad to read you are getting out and about. Good you were able to get an umbrella. Wish I could get out and about like that. Miss going into stores to shop.
My great pass time is playing games on my computer. Yep, it does keep our brain active. As does being on these boards posting.

@RedTop.....good luck on your trip today Hope DH gets a good report on his foot. It's a shame that there isn't a place closer to home. Drive carefully and get back home safe. Let us hear from you once you have settled in when you get home.

hey all
Redtop what type of surg did your dh have on foot??
Reason I ask is, I have 8 surgeries on my foot since 03. It all began with 21 bone spurs being taken out ground down, what ever they do with them, to changing doctors (original doctor pretty much gave up on me--many problems with that foot), went to a new doctor for same foot, he touted this cure and that cure all I got out of the mess he made of my foot is artheritist, bone fusion, much pain,, and still problems. after 2 yrs of severe problems I finally went to my last hope foot doctor. He tried to help me with office visits but the major problem would not go away, he finally said i am going to have to do surg if you want to walk again without limping. I was so reluctant to let anyone else touch my foot because of that the last knuncklehead did to me. I relented and said OK. He fixed the problem, it was a small bone in the bottom of the foot, he said all people have it, my bone was slightly misplaced when I was born that was causing all the problems. he took out bone and am back to doing all my walking. my bones are still fused in the foot doctor told me he would break my foot at a later date but i would off my feet for several months, told him thanks but NO thanks will just keep walking and when the arthritist gets to bad I may come back.
first day of spring and it is raining quite heavily. did get my walk in during a break in the rain this morn, it is cold, damp and very WET!!! today.
ok guys will check in later.

@Katybud.....Wow, you had one busy day. Having your own business, and you and your DH both working there, that does take up a lot of your time. But it is good that you can take some time out to do some things for your self.
It is interesting how our different seasons change. There will still be some chilly weather..... Sounds like your temps are pretty much like here. Roller coaster temps.....
Sorry to hear about your friend's daughter's dog being killed by a coyote. Thank goodness you have a 6' fence. With 3 dogs, that is a good way they can probably be safe. Your little Terrier is getting quite old....and yes, the 2 Airdales would probably protect him. How old are they?
Sorry your DH is having problems with his other knee. Can understand why he is putting off having the replacement being done. Since he had the first one done, he knows what to expect, and will have to figure out the best time to have it done. But being on his feet a lot and walking around must be painful for him now. Hopefully he has a nice recliner he can sit in once he is home for the evening.
Leftovers are wonderful...especially for an evening meal when you have had a busy day. Your supper sounds like it was delicious.
Yes, I got my HurryCane. It's a lot different than the old cane I had been using. Did get a quad cane (Medicare), but just don't feel safe at all using it. Don't know yet what I will be doing with it. It will take some getting used to to use the HurryCane, but it does feel pretty secure for walking around. It came in 4 colors, so I ordered in the blue. Very pretty color. It does fold up and they included a case to put it in when not using it. Thinking I will really like it once I get used to it. But will still use my walker when I go out. It's a pain in the neck to have to use it, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
Hopefully the sewer/plumbing problem has been resolved. Don't know if the basement floor on both sides has been cleaned up yet. Don't think Jeanne who lives upstairs from me went down last night to check on it or not. She will let me know. But from previous backups, I know the mess that it causes. Haven't heard anyone down there yet this morning.
Here's hoping you have a wonderful day today.

@viva923.....morning lady. Glad you were able to get your morning walk in between the rain showers. Just think of the showers we will all be having in April. Remember "April showers bring May flowers"...... Spring really didn't begin until the evening yesterday....so yes, today is really the first full day of Spring.
Wow....8 surgeries on your foot. Then another doctor had to correct the problem. Hopefully you are not having any more problems. Please take care when walking.
Here's hoping you have a great day.
