Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

[ Edited ]

Walked Fur-Baby about 3-miles today.

Went shopping for a watering can:    I went on line and saw  a store (Tractor Supply) about 10 - 15 miles from my house had the size and color watering can I was looking for.  It said they had 4 in stock.   Of course when I got there, the shelf was empty.  I asked an employee and she said her computer also shows they have 4; however, unfortunately she cannot find any in the store.    ( I'm going to check on-line in a few days as I'm curious whether they'll update the site to show they have none so that other customers don't make a special trip too to only find out they have none).

Placed Amazon Order:   Placed order on Amazon for dark green 2-gallon metal watering can.

Purchased some annual plants:   I love red salvia plants as they always grow beautifully.  I sometimes have a hard time finding them.   I saw them today so I purchased them immediately.  I won't be planting them yet, but I'm so happy that I found them this year.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

@willowbark , thank you so much for the lovely compliment.     When my landscaper is done cutting my lawn he always makes a point to stay for a while and chat with me.  When I tell him about  the projects I've completed during the week he tells me I'm hired!  Of course I tell him, I'll be his supervisor and he'll have to do the work!

This afternoon I washed the doors of the smaller white shed.  The shed has vinyl siding but the doors are made of a material that just seems to absorb dirt.  Every other year we typically clean the doors.   I have a cleaner that I really like (Greased Lighting) that does a great job of loosing the dirt.  I spray the doors and then  add a little water and scrub.

We have a small redwood bench I usually put the peanuts on when I feed the squirrels.  It needs a fresh coat of stain also about every other year.  Today I scraped off the loose stain and washed it.  I'll probably get to staining it in a few days.

I was just going to wash the gutter above the back door of the 4-season room but as I got going I decided to also wash all of the siding on that side of the room.  I still have 2 more sides to to so I can't cross that off the "to do" list yet.

Cleaned the fire pit.   I had a small fire a couple of days ago to burn some small branches, pine cones, etc.   I cleaned out the stuff that did not burn in the bottom of the fire pit.

I try to get a lot of this work done in the spring while the temperatures are nice.

Tomorrow fur baby goes for his ultrasound.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

Walked Fur-Baby about 2 miles today.

Took Fur Baby for his liver ultrasound.   They said I should have the results in about 4 - 5 days.

Light Housekeeping:   I walk into each room and look around to see what needs to be done to make it look cleaner/neater.   This "light" housekeeping will hold me over until I do the regular cleaning perhaps next week.

That's about it for me.  It's cloudy and cooler today which makes it a littler harder to get me motivated .

Re: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY????

I just put a red cake in the oven...my step daughter's birthday is today so I promised her a cake....other than that not much, changing sheets on the bed and cleaning my bathroom, husband is in charge of his bathroom but I usually end up going over it myself.

Have a good day all,

@Sooner I saw the terrible devastation in OK.  So awful.  We had a friend who lived in Enid and that town has been hit often.

We've had some flooding here in Ill. near rivers, but not in my Chicago burb.  I hope the best for you.
