Today IT was raining off and on. I went by the UPS store to return two QVC items then Lowes to make a return.

I had a dental appointment this afternoon, and once that was completed I ran by Panera to pick up dinner for home.

That's it for me.

One knocked at my door today and brought me a lovely dinner tonight.

I am taking one to lunch.  I had to really tell her to say yes, she is so giving.

It was when my dog died that I met all these neighbors, just from one that spread the word.  I'm going on 90 and they are like family to me. I need to find what the one who brought me  dinner likes,, so i can give in return.

They are all in their 60's, youngsters, ha. compare to my age. I will find something to give her in return.  I'm not use to people doing for me, but I  sure appreciate them. I did just write a Thank you card, but want to find out what she likes, so I can give back. Yes , I am very blessed.

Took fur baby for 3-mile walk.

Got a fast food hamburger, fries and a soft drink.   It was yummy.

Went to Menards:  They have all of the Christmas items on sale and putting out all of the spring gardening stuff.  They had packages of zinnia seeds for .49 - so I picked up 6 packages.  Typically they put them on sale for .10; however, usually when I get there all of the zinnia seeds are gone so I was not going to wait for the sale.  Nice feeling to be thinking about spring planting already!!   I also picked up a few other items -just miscellaneous stuff - spent about $25.

Going to read newspapers:   I have not read them for about four days so I'll do that today and get caught-up.

I heard this week we'll have temperatures in the 40's.   I'm looking forward to that as I'll be able to get outside and do a little clean up.   I had everything outside a few weeks ago just about perfect and then we had strong winds that messed up things.  It'll be nice to be outside for a little bit.

I was awake at 4 a.m., to get trucker daughter back on the road for her work week.  Straightened the house, gathered and took the trash to the garage, and finished 2 loads of my laundry.  

Teacher daughter just left after a short visit and bringing me lasagna for my supper.  Paired with the side salad I saved from an Outback order yesterday, I enjoyed a tasty meal that filled me up.  

My husband passed just hours into the new year last year, so this holiday season was our first without him.  My girls still get teary at the mention of their dad, and I respect their tender feelings, but I wanted to keep our cheery holiday outlook going; no new tone of gloom and sadness allowed.  Inaddition to a family dinner here with their boyfriends, I made sure we had special gatherings of just the 3 of us, to support each other and share happy memories, in an effort to keep future Christmases as special as our past ones.  I feel good about what I planned and how it turned out, and both girls said they were quite happy with the holidays and our special moments, which is what I needed to hear.

just running way behind today

had my mammogram today just way behind today
