Re: WELL TURNED OUT COUPLES AT ROYAL CORONATION

@Oznell  I'd be embarrassed if I was the woman in the commonwealth photo in the light mint green dress. It is much too tight on her!

@Pearlee Is this the woman you are referring to?  She is full figured, but her dress looks

perfectly fitted to me.  Full figured women shouldn't have to wear baggy clothing.

Re: WELL TURNED OUT COUPLES AT ROYAL CORONATION

@twinsister ,  it turns out that Sophie's topper is what they called a "botanical headpiece"--  but no real flowers.  It's made up of satin leaves matching her dress.  I started to get really interested in the details of her outfit.  She's always right on target...

@Sage04 ,   very cool that you recognized some of the Commonwealth attendees.

@Pearlee ,  I thought the Commonwealth lady looked good.  That shade of mint green is radiant-- always beguiles me.

I was just glad that people showed decorum in dress.  That's one reason I prefer royal events over 'show biz' events in general for people-watching and clothes-watching.   The outfits tend to be more covered up and discreet, thankfully!

Hmmm, no one has offered a theory about Louis's "crown"...   I'm assuming it was embroidery or something on Kate's cloak, but if anyone knows otherwise, hope you will speak up.

I don't think this lady's dress is tight at all @Pearlee .  She looks lovely.

Ooh, I had missed out on this couple  --  King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand.  And her jewels, whoa.

@Oznell - Thanks for the information on Sophie's topper, it is pretty.  I think Sophie always looks very nice, in either formal or more casual outifts.

As for Louis' crown, to me it looks like embroidery on Kate's cloak and he is standing just in the right spot to appear he is wearing a crown.

I wonder why Pippa's husband didn't attend.  Could he have been too busy?

I read that Pippa and her brother's spouses were not invited, due to the pared down guest invitation list for this coronation.

@Tinkrbl44   No doubt you'll find something in my post to argue with.

It was sweet the way the brothers and sisters attended together, especially with the fewer invites it makes since.

The Windsor brother and sister looked like they were having fun as well.

The Windsors sweetly arrived arm-in-arm at Westminster

Yes, they are. Just wish they would eat a little something.

Oznell, it is the symbol on Kate's robe.  It is lower on her robe and Louis is just tall enough so it appears as a crown.
