The only important thing I take away from this thread is that thankfully @mollymaggie is okay.

@mollymaggie, great reminder of what can happen, if this helps only one other person you have done a great service.

@Warrior2022 Not the same thing (my example) but you mentioned everything having a warning.

I've just been tallking to friends about 'we remember BEFORE the Tylenol' scare.

I just almost plunged a knife into my finger trying to get all of the plastic off of the little llid on the salad dressing top!  I tried twisting, my friend tried twisting (she's younger and no arthritis) but we STILL couldn't get it off.

So I got out the knife and had to cut the entire thing off.  Even after that it had a pull top over it...

I am so happy that you are o.k!!  I have a cross on a gold chain that my husband gave me when we got married 50 years ago. I never take it off (unless I'm in the hospital or x rays) so I am not offering any warnings.

I have always been the queen of freak accidents.  Weird, stupid sounding accidents.

I have all ideas (and I fear) that I will meet my maker by some ridiculous method of death.  I can just see my obit now -  Mary passed away at home choking on her morning coffee.

Chain? I have no idea what that is making reference to in connection with taking a bath, or shower. The only chain I have ever seen on any of my many bathtubs is the one on the drain plug.

I learned decades ago to never have anything close, or on my body, when working around anything that is mechanized, and most of my working days were working on and/or around many types of machines.

Glad you are ok and would hope others use their common sense when using any type of "powered" mechanism.

@hckynut   The OP is referring to her neck chain or necklace.  Very scary situation for sure.

@Annabellethecat66

I've often wondered how many ER visits result from people trying to open hard, sealed packages.  I know I've come close to slicing my fingers or hands while attacking these packages.

@WindingRoad ,

Thank you for your reply. I kinda thought that was it, but being a male? I know my wife never wears anything loose on her body around anything that has some type of powered movement. We had a conversation about that decades back. Think I mentioned 1 of my co-workers that lost his finger on a machine we ran. Somehow caught his wedding ring on 1 of it's moving parts.

The US Army taught me that way back when I joined at 18 years old. Can never be too careful around many things, even some that aren't moving, but you are when in contact with them.

Hope you are having a nice and happy Easter Day.

Thank goodness everything turned out OK.

Unfortunately, not to use in a bathtub was the 1st warning.

There are lots of ways we can injure ourselves in the shower.

Mix bare feet, slick surface, slippery soap, then add water...

it’s a miracle any of us make it out untouched.

Just common sense is needed...that’s why all the label warnings.

@this is my nic

Me too! Being the klutz I have always been drawn blood many times on some of these overprotective auto wrapped packages, at least they are to me. Many seem like an invitation for an injury to me, why? Can't see any reason why any company would use a sharper edged plastic to seal their big buckets of cat litter.

Speaking of cats, I enlarged your nice picture and it looks like a pretty grey/gray feline. We got 6 of them running our house. Happy Easter to you a d yours.
