Every week I have at least two fake Paypal notices in my spam folder.

I always forward those to spoof at paypal dot com so they can go after these frauds.

Paypal always sends a nice automated email thanking me.  Woman Happy

But why?  It's been documented many times, that companies no longer use any resources at all to follow up on these emails.

I remember sending a PayPal one to their spoof email maybe 15 years ago and then realizing it wasn't even worth the 2 minutes.

So ... you never empty the spam filter?

Some can have viruses, and you prefer to just let them collect?

Of course I do.  I right click and delete all at least twice a week.  However, a virus in a spam email has absolutely no impact on your device unless you open &/or click on it.  That's why I'm so confused why so many of you check it and open the emails.  🤔

I don't know where you saw that documentation, but PayPal is very aggressive in tracking down the fakes.  They are a financial institution, just like banks, and are under the same regulations and guidelines.

I just made a phone donation to the Police Dept. with my credit card, and now, I'm wondering if I was spammed.

I don't know why I did that, b/c you should never make unsought donations via phone.

I hate to tell you this, but it might be a scam. I get them all the time and hang up. My son in law is a cop and said ignore it. I don't give CC to any phone calls. I call the company back.

Just got an Amaon call saying, i owe 2,000 and I know I don't owe anything.

Be extra careful.  They really target old Seniors, which I am one. Think we are stupid or to trusting from times before, not in what we live in today.

[ Edited ]

Thank you.  I just recieved a Medicare.gov email this morning.

I will delete it or should I forward it into my Trash?

Maybe just delete it, so the email won't remain in my computer's Trash list.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
